Most Colorado drivers carry comprehensive coverage, and most comprehensive policies treat glass differently from the rest of the car. Chip repairs are commonly covered at no deductible because the insurer would rather pay $89 now than a windshield later.
For replacements, your regular comprehensive deductible applies unless you bought a separate glass endorsement. If you did, the deductible is often $0 or $100. Check the declarations page or ask us to verify it with your carrier before booking.
Glass claims are not chargeable at-fault claims, so on their own they don't raise your premium. That said, carriers look at claim frequency overall, so we'll always tell you if paying cash is the smarter move.
